ESI-ION TRAP MASS SPECTROMETRY
ESI- Ion trap Mass spectrometry
For the investigation of non-volatile target compounds, an electrospray ion source is employed. The ion source is useful in this regard because the tholin intermediates are being examined. The 14pole ion trap is combined with the ion source to regulate the ions' internal energy. The trapping period between a few microseconds and several milliseconds will be ensured by the end electrodes' proper timing sequence. The current ion trap configuration will be merged with the energy correlated time of flight setup, which is already in use in our AMP lab, for the photodissociation provision.
